Khyber District is an important area in Pakistan. It is located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Until 2018, it was known as an 'agency' within the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). After FATA joined Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it became a regular district.

This district stretches from the Tirah Valley all the way to Peshawar. It shares borders with Nangarhar Province to the west and Orakzai District to the south. To its southwest is Kurram District, while Peshawar lies to the east. In the north, it borders Mohmand District.
