The Story of Kidz Bop
The idea for Kidz Bop came from Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam. They wanted to create music for kids that was a step up from toddler songs, but still fun and appropriate. The very first Kidz Bop album came out in 2001. It featured new versions of popular songs like "Bye Bye Bye" by NSYNC. Over the years, the company grew. In 2018, it became part of a larger entertainment company called Concord. Kidz Bop celebrated a big milestone in 2025. They released their 50th studio album!
Kidz Bop's Amazing Success
Kidz Bop has been incredibly popular! From 2010 to 2020, Billboard magazine named them the number one Kids' Album Artist. In 2020, Spotify announced that Kidz Bop was the most-streamed artist on the Spotify Kids app in the US. They even made it onto Billboard's list of the Top 100 Artists of the 2010s. Since 2001, over 20 million Kidz Bop albums have been sold around the world. In 2015, Kidz Bop was ranked among the artists with the most Top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. They had more top 10 albums than many famous artists! Kidz Bop albums have often been the best-selling children's albums for many years.

Kidz Bop in the United Kingdom
In 2017, Kidz Bop launched in the UK. They introduced a new group of British Kidz Bop Kids. They partnered with big companies like Universal Music Group and ITV. The first UK album came out in March 2017. Many more albums followed, including Kidz Bop 2022.
Kidz Bop in Germany
Kidz Bop also launched in Germany. The first German album, Kidz Bop Germany, was released in March 2019. They continued to release popular albums like Kidz Bop 2022 for German fans.

Kidz Bop Concert Film
In November 2025, Kidz Bop announced a concert film called Kidz Bop Live: The Concert Movie. It showed a performance from their 2025 "Kidz Bop Live Certified Bop Tour". The film was shot at the Honda Center in California. It featured the current Kidz Bop Kids performing popular songs. The movie had a special limited release in theaters from January 2 to 5, 2026. This was part of Kidz Bop's 25th anniversary celebrations.

Music with Chuck E. Cheese
In August 2023, Chuck E. Cheese announced Kidz Bop as its official music partner. Kidz Bop music had been played in their fun centers for several years before this partnership.
Kidz Bop Experiences at Resorts
Kidz Bop has also created special "Kidz Bop Experiences" at resorts. In 2018, they opened one at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. Another experience opened at Hard Rock Riviera Maya in August 2019.
Legoland Music Partnership
In 2016, Legoland Florida chose Kidz Bop as its official music partner. This happened when the Lego Ninjago World opened in January 2017. The Kidz Bop Kids even recorded a special version of the Ninjago theme song!
Kidz Bop Fashion Line
Kidz Bop teamed up with the children's clothing brand Crazy 8. They launched a special Kidz Bop clothing line in November 2016. The Kidz Bop performers wore these clothes on stage during their 2016 "Life Of The Party" tour.
Kidz Star USA Talent Search
From 2010, Kidz Bop hosted the "Kidz Star USA" talent search. This competition looked for talented children aged 15 and under. Winners received exciting prizes, like recording contracts. Famous artists like Kris Allen and Gavin DeGraw were mentors for the young contestants.
Kidz Bop Radio on SiriusXM
In January 2012, Kidz Bop started its first radio show on SiriusXM Radio. By January 2014, they launched "Kidz Bop Radio". This is a 24/7 channel dedicated to playing Kidz Bop music.
