Kimberly Marie Glass (born August 18, 1984) is an American volleyball player and model. She is about 6 feet 2.5 inches tall. Kim plays as an outside hitter, which is a key attacking position in volleyball.
She joined the U.S. national team in May 2007. Kim Glass made her first Olympic appearance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She helped Team USA win a silver medal in volleyball.

Early Life and High School
Kim Glass was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are Sherman and Kathy Glass. She has two brothers, Darryl and Marcius, and two sisters, Shalana and Shaynce.
Kim grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She went to Conestoga Valley High School. There, she was a top volleyball player for three years. In 2001, she was named the Pennsylvania State Gatorade Player of the Year. She was also the Lancaster-Lebanon League MVP in 2000 and 2001.
Kim played for the U.S. junior national team in 2001. This team competed at the Women's Junior World Championships. She also played club volleyball for Synergy for four years.
College Volleyball Career
Kim Glass played college volleyball for the University of Arizona. She was an amazing player there. She was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American three times. She was also chosen for the All-Pac-10 team four times.
Kim holds the record for most kills at Arizona with 2,151. Kills are successful attacks that score points. She is also third all-time in the Pac-10 conference for kills. She averaged 5.27 kills per game during her college career.
College Records and Awards
Kim Glass set many records at Arizona. She holds the school record with 162 aces. An ace is a serve that the other team cannot return. She is also third in career digs with 1,158. Digs are when a player saves an opponent's attack.
In 2002, she was named a Second Team All-American. She was also the National Freshman of the Year. As a senior in 2005, Kim was a First-Team All-American. She led Arizona to the regional final in the NCAA tournament. Kim Glass was the first player from Arizona to get 2,000 kills. She was also the fourth player in Pac-10 history to reach this milestone.
International Volleyball Career
Kim Glass has played for the United States on the international stage. She was part of the U.S. women's junior national team in 2001. This team competed in the FIVB World Junior Championships. She also played for the U.S. junior national team in 2002.
Playing for Team USA
Kim joined the U.S. women's national team in 2007. She quickly became an important player.
- In 2007, she helped the team win a bronze medal at the FIVB World Cup.
- In 2008, she made her Olympic debut at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Team USA earned a silver medal there.
- In 2011, Kim helped the U.S. team win a gold medal at the FIVB World Grand Prix.
- She also won a gold medal at the 2011 NORCECA Championship.
Professional Volleyball Career
After college, Kim Glass played professional volleyball around the world. She played for teams in different countries.
- She played for Pinkin de Corozal in Puerto Rico. She was the top scorer in that league.
- She joined Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball Team in Turkey in 2007.
- She also played for teams in Russia, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, China, and Brazil.
Other Activities
Besides volleyball, Kim Glass has also been involved in modeling and TV.
- She tried out for Tyra Banks' TV show America's Next Top Model five times.
- In 2011, she appeared in the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue magazine.
- Kim competed on the MTV reality series The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars in 2017. She almost made it to the final challenge.
- She also works with the mobile phone app Headspace. She hosts guided sessions focused on movement and mindfulness.
Helping Others
Kim Glass has a big heart and often helps people in need. She has worked with people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. On The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars, she played for the charity Covenant House. This organization helps young people who are homeless.
Personal Challenges
In July 2022, Kim Glass shared that she was unfortunately attacked and injured in Los Angeles. She needed medical attention for her injuries.
