The King of Kings is a video game released in 1991 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was made by Wisdom Tree, a company known for creating games based on the Bible. This game is special because it shares stories about the early life of Jesus.

How to Play the Game

"The King of Kings" is actually three different games in one! Each game tells a story from the Bible. In all the games, your health is shown by how many "scrolls" you have. You can earn more scrolls by answering trivia questions about the King James Version of the Bible. Before you start playing, you can choose how hard the game is (Normal or Easy). You can also decide if you want the game music to be on or off.

Game 1: The Wise Men

In this game, you play as one of the three Wise Men. They are traveling to find baby Jesus. Your mission is to collect special gifts: frankincense, myrrh, and gold. You also collect scrolls, which will ask you questions from the Bible.

You control a camel that a Wise Man is riding. The game moves from left to right, like a side-scroller. You must guide the camel to the end of each level. The camel can spit a special attack to defeat enemies in one hit. The background music for this game is the carol "We Three Kings".

Game 2: Flight to Egypt

This game tells the story of Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus. They are traveling to Egypt to stay safe from King Herod. The background music for this game is the carol "Go Tell It on the Mountain".

The way you control the game is similar to "The Wise Men." But instead of a camel, you control a donkey. The donkey can kick to attack enemies. The levels in this game spiral upwards, and you finish when you reach the top.

Game 3: Jesus and the Temple

This game is about the story where Jesus was left behind at the Temple in Jerusalem when he was 12 years old. You play as Joseph, who is traveling to Jerusalem to find Jesus. The background music for this game is the carol "What Child Is This?" (also known as "Greensleeves").

You control Joseph in a side-scrolling way. In this game, you have more control over moving up and down. You complete the level when Joseph reaches the far right side of the screen.
