King of the Monsters is an exciting fighting game where you get to play as giant monsters! It was made by a company called SNK and first came out in arcades in Japan in 1991. Later that year, it was also released for the Neo Geo AES home console. The monsters in the game look a lot like the famous creatures you might see in Japanese monster movies, known as Kaiju films.
A sequel, King of the Monsters 2, came out in arcades in 1992. The first game, King of the Monsters, was also released on other popular home consoles. These included the Super NES in 1992 and the Sega Genesis in 1993. You can also find it in the game collection SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1, which was released in 2008. More recently, it became available on modern systems like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
