Krzysztof Włodarczyk, also known as Diablo (which means "Devil"), started his professional boxing journey in 2000. Before becoming a world champion, he won many other boxing titles. These included the IBF Inter-Continental and WBC Youth cruiserweight titles. His trainer is Fiodor Lapin.

Becoming a World Champion

Włodarczyk won his first major world title, the IBF cruiserweight title, on November 25, 2006. He beat Steve Cunningham in a close fight that the judges scored as a "split decision." This means not all judges agreed on who won. However, he lost the title in a rematch with Cunningham in May 2007.

He then aimed for the WBC cruiserweight title. In May 2009, he fought Giacobbe Fragomeni. Włodarczyk knocked Fragomeni down, but the fight ended in a "draw," meaning neither boxer won. They had a rematch in May 2010, where Włodarczyk won by "TKO" (Technical Knockout) in the eighth round. This made him the WBC cruiserweight champion.

Defending His Titles

As WBC champion, Włodarczyk successfully defended his title many times. In September 2010, he won against Jason Robinson. In November 2011, he defended his title against Australian boxer Danny Green, winning by TKO. He also beat Francisco Palacios twice in 2011 and 2012.

One of his most impressive wins was in 2013. He faced undefeated Russian Olympic champion Rakhim Chakhkiev in Moscow. Włodarczyk was knocked down early in the fight but managed to come back and win by "KO" (Knockout). This was a huge victory for him. He defended his title a sixth time in December 2013 against Giacobbe Fragomeni, winning by "RTD" (Retirement) when the fight was stopped due to a cut on Fragomeni's eye.

Later Career Fights

Włodarczyk lost his WBC cruiserweight title on September 27, 2014, to Grigory Drozd. The judges all scored the fight in favor of Drozd.

After losing his title, Włodarczyk continued to fight. In May 2017, he won a tough "split-decision" fight against Noel Gevor. Later that year, in October 2017, he challenged IBF champion Murat Gassiev. Gassiev won by KO in the third round.

Włodarczyk kept fighting and winning. In June 2018, he earned his 55th career win against Olanrewaju Durodola. The judges all agreed he won, which is called a "unanimous decision" (UD). He continued to add to his impressive record. In November 2021, he got his 60th victory when Maximiliano Gomez stopped fighting after four rounds.

More recently, in October 2023, Włodarczyk fought Fabio Maldonado, a former UFC fighter. Włodarczyk won by TKO in the seventh round. He continues to be a respected figure in the boxing world.
