Kwame Sekou Cavil (born May 3, 1979) is an American former professional football player. He played as a wide receiver in both the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). Before turning pro, he played college football for the Texas Longhorns.

College Football Career Highlights
Kwame Cavil played college football at the University of Texas at Austin. He was a player there from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, he set a new school record. He made 100 receptions in a single season. This was a big achievement for the team.
Cavil decided to leave college early to try for the NFL. He was the first player from his coach's Texas teams to do this. He later returned to the University of Texas. In 2010, he earned his bachelor's degree.
Professional Football Journey
Playing in the NFL
Kwame Cavil started his professional career in the National Football League. He played for the Buffalo Bills in 2000. During that year, he appeared in 16 games. He made four catches as a wide receiver.
Playing in the CFL
In 2002, Cavil moved to the Canadian Football League. He signed his first contract with the Montreal Alouettes. He played 48 games in the CFL during his career. He also played in the Grey Cup championship game in 2005.
Cavil played for Montreal until 2005. Then, he joined the Edmonton Eskimos. In 2006, he was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This trade happened when he was with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Life After Playing: Coaching Career
After his time as a player, Kwame Cavil became a football coach. In 2008, he started as an assistant coach. He coached at high schools in Austin, Texas. These included St. Michael's Catholic Academy and St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
He also coached at Manor High School and Temple High School. Later, he coached at LBJ High School in Austin. In 2018, he became the head football coach at his old high school. This was Waco High School, where he graduated in 1997. He coached there for three seasons, from 2018 to 2020.
