La Sonnaz is a town in Switzerland. It is located in the Sarine district, within the Fribourg area. This municipality was formed in 2004. It was created by joining three smaller towns: Cormagens, La Corbaz, and Lossy-Formangueires. The main offices for the town, along with the kindergarten and primary school, are in Lossy.

About La Sonnaz's Land

La Sonnaz covers an area of about 6.9 square kilometers (2.7 square miles). A big part of this land, about 66.4%, is used for farming. This means there are many fields for crops and pastures for animals.

About 22.2% of the area is covered by forests. These forests are important for nature. A smaller part, about 7.4%, has buildings and roads. This is where people live and move around. The rest, about 4.1%, includes rivers or lakes.
