Lakes and Landscape
The village sits in a gently rolling landscape shaped by ancient glaciers. This area is known for its many lakes, called the Chain O'Lakes. Some of these lakes include Cedar Lake and Deep Lake. There are also smaller lakes, ponds, and wetlands (areas where the land is covered by water). These lakes have been very important for tourism in Lake Villa for a long time.
