The Landquart District was a special administrative area in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. Think of a canton as a state or province. This district covered about 193.91 square kilometers (74.87 sq mi). In 2015, about 25,555 people lived there.
On January 1, 2017, the Landquart District was replaced. It became part of the new Landquart Region. This change was part of a big reorganization in the canton of Graubünden.

Circles and Municipalities
The Landquart District was made up of two smaller areas called Kreise (circles). These circles then contained several municipalities. A municipality is like a local town or city government.
Fünf Dörfer Circle
The Fünf Dörfer circle was one of the two main parts of the district. It included several important towns.

Changes to Municipalities
Over time, some municipalities joined together. In 2008, the municipality of Says became part of Trimmis. Later, in 2012, the towns of Igis and Mastrils merged. They formed a brand new municipality called Landquart.
Maienfeld Circle
The Maienfeld circle was the second main part of the Landquart District. It also had its own group of municipalities.

The Landquart District used to be known as Unterlandquart. It also included other sub-districts like Schiers and Seewis. These areas are now part of the Prättigau/Davos region.
