The Story of Latin Flavors
The story of Latin Flavors began a long time ago, in 1921, in Cuba. A man named Valentin Garcia and his brothers started their very first bakery there. Their bakery grew bigger and bigger over the years.
In 1956, they opened a brand new building and changed the bakery's name to La Gran Via. It became known as the best bakery in Havana, Cuba. However, in 1960, due to political changes in Cuba, the family had to leave their business behind.
What Latin Flavors Makes
Latin Flavors makes many different kinds of pastries and breads. These include tasty Argentinean empanadas, Cuban pastries, Dominican pastries, and Jamaican patties. They also make Puerto Rican pastries and various breads from South America and the Caribbean.
How Products Are Distributed
These delicious foods are sent out by special companies called wholesale distributors. These distributors help get the products to stores and restaurants across the country. Latin Flavors also makes custom products for other big companies, putting those companies' names on the labels.
Quality and Safety
Making sure the food is safe and high-quality is very important. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) check the manufacturing process at the Latin Flavors plant. This helps make sure everything is clean and safe to eat. The company also uses special methods called Six Sigma to make sure their products are made perfectly.
