Lauren Tom started her voice acting career in the animated series Superman: The Animated Series, where she played Angela Chen. She then voiced Dana Tan in Batman Beyond. She also had roles in Pinky and the Brain and Extreme Ghostbusters.

She became a regular voice actor on King of the Hill, voicing Minh and Connie Souphanousinphone. Later, she joined Futurama as the voice of Amy and Inez Wong.

Lauren has also lent her voice to many other animated shows, including All Grown Up!, Rocket Power, Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, Justice League Unlimited, and Kim Possible.

She voiced the villains Gizmo and Jinx in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!. She was also Yan Lin in W.I.T.C.H. and Joo Dee in Avatar: The Last Airbender. In 2010, she voiced characters like Song and Bai Li in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.

Lauren Tom has also voiced characters in animated movies such as Mulan II, Kung Fu Panda 2, and the four Futurama movies: Bender's Big Score, The Beast with a Billion Backs, Bender's Game, and Into the Wild Green Yonder.

She voiced Li Li Stormstout in the video game World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria.

Lauren Tom was previously married to Glenn Lau-Kee. She later married actor Curt Kaplan in October 1999. They have two sons together.
