Mulan II is a Disney movie released in 2004. It's the exciting sequel to the popular 1998 animated film, Mulan. Darrell Rooney and Lynne Southerland directed this film.

The story follows Mulan and her fiancé, Shang, on a very important mission. They need to escort the Emperor's three daughters safely across the country. These princesses are traveling to meet the men they are supposed to marry. The movie explores themes like arranged marriage, loyalty, and finding true love. Most of the actors from the first movie returned for this sequel. However, Mark Moseley took over the voice of Mushu, and April Winchell voiced The Matchmaker.

The Story of Mulan II

The movie begins with a big surprise for Fa Mulan. Her love, Captain (now General) Li Shang, asks her to marry him! But before they can have their happy wedding, the Emperor gives them a secret task. They must escort three princesses to a city called Chang'an in China.

Mushu, Mulan's dragon guardian, gets worried. He learns that if Mulan marries into Shang's family, he will lose his job as her guardian. So, Mushu tries to cause problems between Mulan and Shang. He hopes to stop their wedding.

During their journey, something unexpected happens. The three princesses fall in love with Mulan's friends, the "Gang of Three" (Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po). Mulan decides she wants to help the princesses. She doesn't want them to marry men they don't love. This goes against the Emperor's orders.

Mulan's decision makes Shang question their relationship. Suddenly, Mongolians attack them! The safety of China depends on Mulan and Shang. They must work together to protect the princesses and their country.
