Le Pâquier is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Fribourg area, specifically in the Gruyère district. The name Le Pâquier comes from an old word meaning "pasture" or "meadow."

History of Le Pâquier
Le Pâquier was first mentioned in official records way back in 1637. At that time, it was known as Pasquier.
Geography and Nature
Le Pâquier covers an area of about 4.5 square kilometers (about 1.7 square miles). A large part of this land, nearly 69%, is used for farming. About 17% of the area is covered by forests.
The town itself, with its buildings and roads, makes up about 13% of the land. A small amount, less than 1%, is made up of rivers or lakes. The rest is land that isn't used for anything.
Most of the forested land is thick forest. Some areas also have orchards or small groups of trees. For farming, some land is used for growing crops, but most is used for pastures where animals graze. All the water in the town comes from flowing rivers and streams.
Le Pâquier is located in the Gruyère district. It sits at the northern base of the Moléson mountain.
