Lincoln is a small town located in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin, United States. In 2010, the population of Lincoln was 948 people. Several smaller, unincorporated communities are found within the town, including Lincoln, Gregorville, and Euren. Parts of Rio Creek and Rosiere are also located here.

Exploring Lincoln's Location
Lincoln is situated in the northern part of Kewaunee County. It shares its northern border with Door County. The United States Census Bureau reports that the town covers a total area of about 92.4 square kilometers (which is about 35.7 square miles). All of this area is land, with no significant bodies of water.
Who Lives in Lincoln?
Based on the census from the year 2000, there were 957 people living in the town of Lincoln. There were 334 households, and 263 of these were families. The population density was about 10.4 people per square kilometer (or 26.8 people per square mile).
The people living in Lincoln were spread out across different age groups. About 28.5% of the population was under 18 years old. Around 7.6% were between 18 and 24, and 27.7% were between 25 and 44. People aged 45 to 64 made up 23.0% of the population, and 13.2% were 65 years or older. The average age in the town was 36 years.
Lincoln's Past: A Belgian Connection
Lincoln has a unique history because it is one of the most Belgian-American communities in the United States. A large part of its population has Belgian heritage. The town was originally called "GrandLez." This name came from a village in Belgium called Grand-Leez, which is now part of the town of Gembloux.
Many Belgian immigrants moved from Grand-Leez to this area between 1850 and 1860. Before March 21, 1862, the area that is now Lincoln was part of another town called Ahnapee.
