Lincoln is a small place in Minnesota, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's not officially a city or town with its own local government. Lincoln is located in Scandia Valley Township, which is part of Morrison County.

History of Lincoln
Lincoln was officially planned out in 1893. This process is called "platting," which means creating a map that divides land into lots and streets. The community was named after Abraham Lincoln, who was the 16th President of the United States.
A post office was opened in Lincoln in 1890. A post office is a place where you can send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years, but it closed down in 1954.
Transportation in Lincoln
Even though Lincoln is a small place, a famous train route passes through it. The Empire Builder train, run by Amtrak, travels on BNSF tracks right through Lincoln. This train connects major cities like Seattle and Portland on the west coast to Chicago in the Midwest.
However, the Empire Builder does not stop in Lincoln. If you wanted to catch this train, the closest station is in Staples. Staples is about 15 miles (24 kilometers) northwest of Lincoln.
