List of Ninjago episodes facts for kids
Ninjago (also known as Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu until 2019) is a popular animated TV show. It was first made by Wil Film ApS and later by WildBrain Studios. The Lego Group helps share the show with everyone. The series was created to go along with the Lego Ninjago building toys. It tells the exciting story of a group of teenage ninja who fight against evil in the fictional world of Ninjago.
The first special episodes, called the pilot episodes, came out in January 2011. This was at the same time as the Lego Ninjago toys were launched. People loved the show so much that two full seasons were made: Rise of the Snakes and Legacy of the Green Ninja. Each of these seasons had 13 episodes. The first season aired on December 2, 2011. The Lego theme and the TV show were only planned to last for three years. So, it was thought that the second season would be the last. However, fans really wanted more! Because of their feedback, the show came back and continued for ten more years.
In 2017, a movie based on the series, The Lego Ninjago Movie, was released. In 2018, for the eighth season of the show, the animation style was updated. The characters also got new looks, similar to the movie. Even with these changes, the eighth season continued the story from earlier seasons. It did not restart the story like the movie did. When the eleventh season came out in 2019, the show was sold to WildBrain Studios. They removed "Masters of Spinjitzu" from the title. Also, episodes changed from 22 minutes long to 11 minutes. In total, 15 seasons were made, along with two pilot episodes, many mini-movies, a special, a four-episode mini-series, and a theme park movie.
