List of Rugrats episodes facts for kids
Rugrats is a fun American cartoon show created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, and Paul Germain. The show is all about a group of toddlers, especially Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, the twins Phil and Lil, Susie, and later Dil and Kimi. You get to see their daily lives, which often turn into amazing adventures in their imaginations! The grown-ups in the show usually have no idea what the babies are up to.
The series first aired on August 11, 1991. It quickly became very popular on Nickelodeon. After a break, new episodes started in 1997, making Rugrats one of Nickelodeon's biggest hits. Because it was so loved, there were even movies made! The show ran for 13 years, ending on August 1, 2004, with a total of 172 episodes.
On July 21, 2001, Nickelodeon showed a special called "All Growed Up". It was so popular that it became its own spin-off series, All Grown Up!, which shows the babies as teenagers. There were also two direct-to-video movies called Rugrats Tales from the Crib. You could also find Rugrats in video games, comic books, toys, and lots of other cool stuff!
Rugrats won over 20 awards, including 4 Daytime Emmy Awards and 6 Kids' Choice Awards. It even got its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The show was Nickelodeon's top-rated series for many years. It was the longest-running Nicktoon until 2012, when SpongeBob SquarePants took its place. In 2018, Nickelodeon announced that new Rugrats episodes would be made!
