This article is a list of the tallest buildings in Ottawa and Gatineau. These two cities are right next to each other and are often called the National Capital Region. We're looking at buildings that are taller than 90 meters (about 295 feet).

Even though Ottawa and Gatineau are big cities, they don't have as many super tall skyscrapers (over 100 meters or 328 feet) as some other large Canadian cities. For a long time, until 1965, buildings in Ottawa could only be up to 45.5 meters (149 feet) tall. This was done so that the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill, which is 92 meters (302 feet) tall, would always be the tallest and most important building in the city.

There are special rules in the National Capital Region about how tall buildings can be. These rules protect important views, especially towards the Parliament Buildings. This means that in some parts of downtown Ottawa and Gatineau, buildings can't be too tall.

The tallest building right now in Ottawa—Gatineau is the Claridge Icon. It has 45 floors and is 143 meters (469 feet) tall. You can find it in an area called Little Italy. The tallest building that has been approved for future construction is called 900 Albert — Tower 1. It will be 65 floors and 234 meters (768 feet) tall. This building will be part of a three-tower project in Centretown West.

Tallest Buildings in Ottawa and Gatineau

This list shows buildings in the Ottawa-Gatineau area that are at least 90 meters (295 feet) tall. We measure their height based on standards from the CTBUH. This includes spires and cool architectural parts, but not antenna masts.

As of July 2023, Ottawa-Gatineau has 18 buildings over 90 meters that are already built. There are also 8 buildings over 90 meters that are currently being built, 19 more that have been approved, and 39 more that have been suggested. The region is seeing a huge boom in tall building construction right now!
