Logan Wade Lerman (born January 19, 1992) is an American actor. He started acting in commercials in the mid-1990s. Later, he starred in the TV show Jack & Bobby (2004–2005) and movies like The Butterfly Effect (2004) and Hoot (2006). Logan became very well known for playing the main character in the Percy Jackson film series. He also played d'Artagnan in The Three Musketeers (2011). Logan Lerman's Early Life and Family
Logan Lerman was born in Beverly Hills, California. His mother, Lisa, works as his manager. His father, Larry Lerman, is a businessman who makes and fits special braces and artificial body parts (an orthotist). Logan has an older sister and an older brother.
Logan is Jewish. He had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony, which is an important Jewish coming-of-age celebration. His grandparents were born in four different countries. His paternal grandfather was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1927. His family left Germany in the 1930s because of the Nazi regime and lived in Shanghai until World War II ended. His paternal grandmother was born in Mexico City. Logan's maternal grandfather was a Polish Jewish immigrant. His maternal grandmother was born in Los Angeles, also to a Jewish immigrant family.
Logan has said that he is a bit different from his family because he is an actor. Most of his relatives work in the medical field. His family owns a company that makes orthotics and prosthetics. Logan loved movies from a young age. He started acting "just for fun" and as a way "to get out of school." He began trying out for roles in the late 1990s and first appeared in commercials. Logan is good friends with actor Dean Collins, who played his best friend on Jack & Bobby. They stayed close after the show ended and worked together again on Hoot. In their free time, they made funny short films together. They wrote, directed, and filmed these videos, often getting help from family and friends. They uploaded these shorts to YouTube under the name "monkeynuts1069."
In 2006, Collins and Lerman started a band called Indigo with musician Daniel Pashman. Collins sang, Logan played keyboard and guitar, and Pashman played the drums.
