Logan Wade Lerman (born January 19, 1992) is an American actor. He started acting in commercials when he was very young. Later, he became well-known for playing the main character, Percy Jackson, in the Percy Jackson movies. He also starred as d'Artagnan in The Three Musketeers (2011). Logan Lerman has appeared in many other popular films, including The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), Fury (2014), and the TV series Hunters (2020–2023).

Logan Lerman's Early Life
Logan Lerman was born in Beverly Hills, California. His mother, Lisa, works as his manager, and his father, Larry, is a businessman. Logan has an older sister and an older brother.
His family owns a company that makes special medical devices called orthotics and prosthetics. This company was started by his great-grandfather in 1915. Logan has said that he is a "black sheep" in his family because he chose to be an actor, while many of his relatives work in medicine. He went to Beverly Hills High School. In 2010, he planned to study writing at New York University, but he decided to wait to focus on his acting career.

Logan Lerman loved movies from a young age. He started acting "just for fun" and to "get out of school." He began trying out for roles in the late 1990s and first appeared in commercials.
Starting Out in Acting
Logan's first movie role was in 2000 in The Patriot. He played William Martin, one of the main character's children. That same year, he was in What Women Want. In 2001, he played the son of the main character in Riding in Cars with Boys. Logan has mentioned that when he was very young, he didn't fully understand what was happening during his first roles.
In 2003, Logan played nine-year-old Luke Chandler in a TV movie called A Painted House. This movie was based on the early life of author John Grisham. Critics praised Logan's performance, calling him a "promising newcomer." He even won a Young Artist Award for this role. After that, he appeared in the 2004 thriller The Butterfly Effect, playing a younger version of the main character.
Logan took a break from acting for about a year when he was ten. When he was twelve, he decided to take acting seriously. In 2004, he got a main role in the TV series Jack & Bobby. He played Bobby McCallister, a smart 12-year-old who was meant to become President of the United States. The show ran for one season, and Logan was nominated for another Young Artist Award.
Logan's first main role in a movie was in Hoot. He played Roy Eberhardt, a boy who moves to Florida and tries to save endangered owls. Logan said the movie's message is that "you can be any age and make a difference." Hoot was released in 2006, and Logan won his third Young Artist Award for his performance.
In 2007, Logan was in the thriller The Number 23. He also appeared in the western 3:10 to Yuma. He played William Evans, a teenager who looks up to a criminal. Logan received good reviews for this role and was nominated for another Young Artist Award.
In 2008, Logan co-starred in the comedy Meet Bill. In 2009, he appeared in the science fiction film Gamer. That same year, Logan had a main role in the comedy My One and Only. He played a teenage writer who travels across the country with his mother.
From Percy Jackson to Today
In 2009, Logan was chosen to play Percy Jackson in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The movie was filmed in 2009 and came out in February 2010. Logan has said he didn't know about the book series before getting the script. His parents became more comfortable with him acting as a career after the Percy Jackson movie was released.
Logan's next big role was d'Artagnan in the 3D movie The Three Musketeers, which was released in October 2011. Logan didn't even have to audition for this part. He took the role because The Three Musketeers was one of the only books his grandfather brought with him when he had to leave his home in the 1930s. Logan trained in sword fighting for three months for the role.
Logan also starred as Charlie in the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Filming happened in 2011, and the movie was released in September 2012. Logan's performance received great reviews. Critics said he showed a lot of range and could "really, truly act." He won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor: Drama for this role.
Logan played Lou in the independent film Stuck in Love, which was released in 2013. The second Percy Jackson movie, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, came out in August 2013.
Logan played Ham, the son of Noah, in the movie Noah. This film was released in March 2014 and received good reviews. Logan then starred in the World War II movie Fury. He played an American soldier fighting against Nazi forces. Filming began in September 2013, and the movie was released in October 2014. Logan's performance in Fury was also praised.
Logan played the main character, Marcus Messner, in Indignation. This movie was based on a book by Philip Roth. Logan's character is a student in the 1950s. Logan has continued his main role in the Amazon Prime series Hunters since 2020. He also had a role in the movie Shirley (2020).
In 2022, Logan helped produce the drama Press Play. He also had a supporting role in the action-thriller Bullet Train. In June 2023, it was announced that Logan would be a producer for the thriller Skincare.
In 2025, Logan stars as the lead in the romantic comedy Oh, Hi!, which was shown at the Sundance Film Festival. This movie was released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
Other Interests
Logan Lerman is good friends with actor Dean Collins, who played his best friend on Jack & Bobby. They stayed close after the show ended and worked together again on Hoot. In their free time, Logan and Dean made funny short films together. They wrote, directed, and filmed these videos, often getting help from family and friends. They uploaded these shorts to YouTube.
In 2006, Logan and Dean started a band called Indigo with musician Daniel Pashman. Dean sang, Logan played keyboard and guitar, and Daniel played drums. In 2011, Logan said that Indigo was "not a serious band right now" and that music was his biggest passion after film. Logan also plays the piano and loves movie music. He has also said that he hopes to lead a film studio one day.
Logan Lerman's Personal Life
Logan Lerman describes himself as a "film geek." He has said that movies have really influenced him and that he sees himself as a "creative person." In 2010, Logan shared that he was interested in "everything that goes into making a film." He wanted to write, produce, and direct movies. Some of his favorite directors include Paul Thomas Anderson and Stanley Kubrick.
In 2011, Logan described himself as "reserved and quiet" and a "homebody." He also mentioned that he wasn't a big fan of sports.
