Ezra Matthew Miller (born September 30, 1992) is an American actor. They are known for their roles in popular movies. Their first big movie was Afterschool in 2008. After that, they starred in dramas like We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012).
Ezra Miller also plays Credence Barebone / Aurelius Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts film series. These movies include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022).
They also play the Flash in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) films. They appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Suicide Squad (2016). Later, they had bigger roles in Justice League (2017) and The Flash (2023).

Ezra Matthew Miller was born in Wyckoff, New Jersey, on September 30, 1992. They have two older sisters named Saiya and Caitlin. Their mother, Marta Miller, is a modern dancer. Their father, Robert S. Miller, worked as a publisher for books.
Miller's father is Jewish. Their mother has Dutch and German family roots. Miller identifies as Jewish and "spiritual." When they were six years old, they began training to be an opera singer. They even sang with the famous Metropolitan Opera. Miller also performed in an opera called White Raven. They attended Rockland Country Day School and The Hudson School. Miller left school at age 16 after their first movie, Afterschool, was released.
Acting Career Highlights
Miller's acting career began in 2008. Their first film was Afterschool, where they played a teenager at a boarding school. The next year, they were in City Island with Andy García. In 2010, Miller played the main character in Beware the Gonzo. They also had a supporting role in Every Day. Both movies were shown at the Tribeca Film Festival.
In 2011, Miller appeared in the drama We Need to Talk About Kevin. They acted alongside Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly. On television, Miller played Damien in the show Californication. They also appeared on Royal Pains as Tucker Bryant for two seasons. In 2012, Miller played Patrick in the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. They starred with Logan Lerman and Emma Watson.
Miller is also a musician. They sing, play drums, and percussion for the band Sons of an Illustrious Father. The band includes Lilah Larson and Josh Aubin. In 2019, the band released a cover of "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls. Miller appeared in the music video for the song.
Fantastic Beasts and DC Roles
Ezra Miller played Credence Barebone in the 2016 film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This movie is a spin-off from the Harry Potter film series. They played the role again in the sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, released in 2018. They also returned for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in 2022.
