Calum Worthy (born January 28, 1991) is a Canadian actor. He is famous for playing Dez Wade in the Disney Channel show Austin & Ally. He also played Alex Trimboli in the Netflix series American Vandal and Nicholas Godejohn in the Hulu series The Act. Calum even played himself in The Coppertop Flop Show.
Calum has won several awards for his acting. He received two Young Artist Awards for being a top young actor. These awards were for his roles in the comedy movie National Lampoon's Thanksgiving Family Reunion (2003) and the science fiction TV show Stormworld (2009). He also won a Leo Award in 2010 for his work in Stormworld.
Calum has appeared as a guest star in many other TV shows. These include ABC Family's Kyle XY, The CW's Supernatural and Smallville. He was also in CTV's Flashpoint, The Hub's R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series, and Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie. Other shows include Disney XD's Zeke and Luther and Two and a Half Men.

Calum Worthy's Life and Career Beginnings
Calum Worthy was born on January 28, 1991, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. His parents are Sandra Webster Worthy and David Worthy. He started acting when he was just 9 years old. His first role was a guest appearance in the TV show Night Visions.
When he was 10, Calum starred in a three-episode British TV mini-series called I Was a Rat. Since then, he has worked on more than 50 different movies and TV projects. He has even worked in five different countries: Canada, the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
Awards for Young Actors
Calum won two Young Artist Awards for Leading Young Actor. He received these awards in 2004 and 2010. He was also nominated for another Young Artist Award in 2006. This nomination was for his performance in the short film When Jesse Was Born. In 2010, he also won a Leo Award for Best Performance in a Youth or Children's Program or Series.
Life During Austin & Ally
While Calum was a regular actor on the Disney Channel show Austin & Ally, he lived in Los Angeles, California. He even wrote one episode of the show himself. In 2013, he helped create, write, and produce a funny sketch comedy show. It was called The Coppertop Flop Show. Disney Channel picked up the show, and it aired in late 2013.
Calum has shared that he attended university when he had free time from filming Austin & Ally. He also enjoys making funny videos and sketches with his friends during his free time.
Recent Acting Roles
In July 2017, Calum Worthy was chosen to play Robbie Baldwin, also known as Speedball. This was for a TV series called New Warriors on Freeform. However, the series was not picked up to air.
In 2018, Calum played Alex Trimboli in the first season of the Netflix show American Vandal. The next year, in 2019, he played Nicholas Godejohn in the first season of The Act.
In February 2021, it was announced that Calum Worthy was cast as Jasper. This role is in the Netflix thriller series Pieces of Her. The show is based on a book by Karin Slaughter with the same name.
Calum is also a co-founder of a company called 2wai. This company focuses on education using artificial intelligence (AI). He is the head of business development there.
