Lucy Pevensie is a brave and kind character from C. S. Lewis's famous book series, The Chronicles of Narnia. She is the youngest of the four Pevensie children. Lucy is special because she is the very first one to discover the magical wardrobe that leads to the land of Narnia. This happens in the first book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Lucy is known for her strong belief in Narnia and her close friendship with Aslan, the great lion. She is eventually crowned Queen Lucy the Valiant. She rules Narnia alongside her two brothers, Peter and Edmund, and her sister, Susan. Lucy is a main character in three of the seven books: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. She also appears in The Horse and His Boy and The Last Battle.
In the Narnia movies, Lucy is played by Georgie Henley. Georgie appeared in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008), and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010). Georgie's older sister, Rachael Henley, played the older Queen Lucy at the end of the first film.

Lucy's Character
Lucy is the most caring and loyal of all her siblings. She always believes in Narnia, even when others doubt her. This is why she is the first to see Aslan in Prince Caspian. Her brothers and sister are often less trusting.
As a young child in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Lucy is looking for adventure and something amazing to believe in. Her brother Edmund often teases her about Narnia. He even calls her ideas "childish games." When Edmund later visits Narnia himself but still pretends it's not real, Lucy feels very sad and confused.
Lucy loves animals and makes friends with many creatures. She is very upset in Prince Caspian when she learns that Narnia has been taken over by the Telmarines. These invaders have hidden or hurt many of the magical creatures that made Narnia special. Lucy's desire to help others is shown by the special healing cordial she receives from Father Christmas. This cordial can heal almost any injury.
Adventures in Narnia
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Lucy is the first Pevensie child to find the magical wardrobe. It leads her to Narnia, which is covered in a never-ending winter by the evil White Witch. There, she meets Mr. Tumnus the Faun and later, the Beavers.
Her brother Edmund secretly follows her into Narnia on her second visit. He meets the White Witch and is tricked by her promises of power. Edmund then betrays Lucy and denies that Narnia is real.
When all four Pevensie children enter Narnia, Edmund leaves the Beavers' home to join the White Witch. Lucy, Peter, Susan, and the Beavers travel to the Stone Table. They meet Father Christmas, who gives them gifts. Lucy receives a vial of magical cordial to heal injuries and a small dagger for protection.
Lucy and Susan later comfort Aslan as he walks to his sacrifice. They also witness him coming back to life. While their brothers are fighting in a battle, Lucy and Susan help Aslan wake up the creatures the White Witch had turned to stone. They all reunite after the battle.
At Cair Paravel, Lucy is crowned Queen Lucy by Aslan. She rules Narnia with her siblings, bringing a "Golden Age" to the land. Years later, while hunting a White Stag, they find the wardrobe again. They return to England, where no time has passed.
The Horse and His Boy
The events in The Horse and His Boy happen while the Pevensie siblings are ruling Narnia. Queen Lucy is a young woman who helps the land of Archenland. She is described as being more adventurous, unlike her sister, Queen Susan. Lucy helps welcome Aravis to Anvard and prepares her room.
Prince Caspian
Lucy (who is now 9 years old) returns to Narnia with her three siblings in Prince Caspian. In this book, Lucy is the only one who can see Aslan at first. She has a hard time convincing her brothers, sister, and the dwarf Trumpkin that Aslan has returned. However, Edmund believes her because she was right about Narnia existing before. Aslan tells Lucy to try again and to follow him even if others refuse. Lucy notices Aslan seems larger, but Aslan says it is she who has grown.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
While Susan is in America and Peter is studying, Lucy (age 11), Edmund, and their cousin Eustace are pulled into Narnia through a magical painting. This happens in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. This book is largely told from Lucy's point of view. At the end, Aslan tells Lucy and Edmund that they, like Susan and Peter, have become too old to visit Narnia again.
The Last Battle
In The Last Battle, Lucy returns to Narnia with her brothers, Peter and Edmund, along with Eustace Scrubb, Jill Pole, Polly Plummer, and Digory Kirke. She sees Narnia being destroyed and then lives in the new Narnia created by Aslan. In this new Narnia, all the good people and animals from the old Narnia return. Lucy also meets her old friend Mr. Tumnus the Faun again. Aslan tells them about a train accident in England where Lucy, her brothers, her parents, Polly, Digory, Eustace, and Jill die. They all stay in Aslan's homeland forever, but Susan remains living on Earth.
