Lynden Antonio Trail (born March 19, 1991) is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker, which is a key defensive position. After playing college football at Norfolk State University, he joined the Houston Texans in 2015. He also played for several other teams during his career.

Lynden Trail's Football Journey
Lynden Trail started his professional football journey in 2015. Even though he wasn't chosen in the NFL Draft, the Houston Texans signed him. He was with the Texans for a short time before leaving due to an injury.
Playing for the Washington Redskins
First Time with the Redskins
Lynden Trail joined the Washington Redskins' practice squad in October 2015. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. He was released briefly but then rejoined the practice squad in November 2015.
In January 2016, Trail signed a "futures contract" with the Redskins. This meant he would be part of the team for the next season. However, he was waived (released) by the Redskins in September 2016. He rejoined their practice squad a day later, but was waived again soon after.
Second Time with the Redskins
In December 2016, Lynden Trail returned to the Redskins' practice squad. The very next day, he was moved up to the main team roster.
In September 2017, the Redskins waived Trail again due to an injury. He was then placed on injured reserve. A few days later, he was released from the team with an injury settlement.
