Maisprach is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Sissach district in the canton of Basel-Country.

History of Maisprach
Maisprach is an old settlement. The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1247. Back then, it was known as Mesbache.
Geography of Maisprach
Maisprach covers an area of about 5.07 square kilometers (almost 2 square miles). A big part of this land, about 50.1%, is used for farming. This means people grow crops or raise animals there.
Another large part, about 38.9%, is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 10.1%, has buildings and roads.
Maisprach is found in the Sissach district. It sits on the southern side of a mountain called Sonnenberg.
