Malese Jow (born February 18, 1991) is an American actress and singer. She is well-known for her roles on popular TV shows. You might know her as Geena Fabiano from the Nickelodeon show Unfabulous, Lucy Stone from Big Time Rush, or Anna, a teenage vampire, on The CW's The Vampire Diaries. She also played Julia Yeung in Star-Crossed and Mareth Ravenlock in The Shannara Chronicles. More recently, she voiced Kate Cha / Dupli-Kate in the animated series Invincible.

Early Life and Beginnings
Malese Jow was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When she was nine years old, she moved to California with her mother and her siblings. Malese is part Chinese-American and part Cherokee. When she was a child, she often sang the national anthem at local baseball games.
Acting Career Highlights
Malese Jow started acting at a young age. When she was six, she appeared on shows like Barney and Dellaventura. Her big break came when she got a main role in the Nickelodeon sitcom Unfabulous. In this show, she played Geena Fabiano, who was one of the best friends of Addie Singer, played by Emma Roberts. Unfabulous was on TV for three seasons, from 2004 to 2007. Malese was nominated for several Young Artist Awards for her work on the show.
After Unfabulous ended in 2007, Malese appeared in the movie Bratz: The Movie as Quinn. She also made guest appearances on many other popular TV shows. These included Wizards of Waverly Place, The Young and the Restless, iCarly, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. In 2009, she also co-starred in the science fiction comedy movie Aliens in the Attic.
Becoming a Vampire and Rock Star
In 2010, Malese Jow joined the first season of The CW fantasy drama The Vampire Diaries. She played Anna, a vampire character. She also returned for a short time in the third season of the show. That same year, Malese appeared in the fantasy romance movie You're So Cupid! and the drama film The Social Network. She also guest-starred on an episode of the TNT crime show Leverage. Later, she starred in the Nickelodeon action/science fiction show The Troop as Cadence Nash.
In 2011, Malese began a recurring role in the second season of the Nickelodeon musical sitcom Big Time Rush. She played Lucy Stone, an aspiring rock musician. Lucy was a brief love interest for Kendall Knight and later for James Diamond. Malese also guest-starred in the ABC mystery comedy-drama Desperate Housewives.
Later Roles and Superhero Worlds
In 2013, Malese confirmed her role in the crime comedy movie Plastic. She also returned to Big Time Rush for its fourth and final season, playing Lucy Stone again.
In February 2013, Malese became the new host of The Vampire Diaries side show, TVD Rehash. Soon after, it was announced that she would join the CW science fiction romantic drama pilot Oxygen. She played Julia Yeung, a girl who has an illness that aliens might be able to cure. This show was later picked up and renamed Star-Crossed. It ran for one season in 2014.
In 2014, Malese was in the TV movie Presumed Dead in Paradise. In October 2014, she was announced to have a recurring role as Linda Park on the CW's superhero drama The Flash. She played Linda Park, a friend of Iris. In one episode, Malese even played a villain from Earth-2 named Dr. Light. In 2017, Malese played Mareth Ravenlock on MTV's The Shannara Chronicles. She also appeared on NCIS: Los Angeles as Jennifer Kim. In 2017, Malese began filming the movie I Wrote This For You.
