Mandar Dnyaneshwar Agashe (born 24 May 1969) is an Indian businessman and music director. He is well-known for starting Sarvatra Technologies in 2000. He also used to be a musician.

About Mandar Agashe
Early Life and Education
Mandar Agashe was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on May 24, 1969. His father was the industrialist Dnyaneshwar Agashe. His mother was Rekha Gogte.
Mandar Agashe has a brother named Ashutosh Agashe and a sister named Sheetal Agashe. His grandfather was Chandrashekhar Agashe. His family has connections to many famous people. These include musician Ashutosh Phatak and scientist P. K. Kelkar.
In 1990, Mandar Agashe earned a degree in software engineering. He studied at the Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He married Aparna Pandharkar in 1996. She is now known as Jiza Agashe. They have two children.
Starting His Business Career
Mandar Agashe began his business journey in 1991. He joined the board of directors at his grandfather's company. This company was the Brihan Maharashtra Sugar Syndicate. By 1994, he became a joint managing director there.
He also became a director at his father's company, Suvarna Sahakari Bank. In the late 1990s, he started new companies. These included Brihans Pharmaceuticals, an ayurvedic medicine company. He also launched musicurry.com, an internet radio service.
In January 2000, musicurry.com officially started. Mandar Agashe worked with singer Usha Mangeshkar. She helped as a creative consultant for the radio service.
Founding Sarvatra Technologies
In April 2000, Mandar Agashe started Brihans Natural Products Ltd. This company makes skincare products. In June 2000, he founded Sarvatra Technologies. This company creates banking software.
Sarvatra Technologies first developed software for Suvarna Sahakari Bank. Mandar Agashe also started other financial technology companies. These were EBZ Online and Codito Technologies.
In 2006, Sarvatra Technologies launched "Anywhere Money" POS terminals. These are devices used for payments. Many politicians supported this new technology.
By 2007, Mandar Agashe combined some of his companies. EBZ Technologies and Codito joined Sarvatra Technologies. He also worked with Oracle Corporation. Their goal was to bring banking technology to rural areas in India.
Later Business Success
In 2011, Sarvatra's POS terminals became available to banks. These were for Urban co-operative banks in the Solapur district. Mandar Agashe became the company's vice-chair.
By 2018, Sarvatra's system helped 450 co-operative banks. By 2020, it helped 50 urban co-operative banks. This system connected them to India's National Electronic Funds Transfer service. This makes it easier to send money electronically.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Mandar Agashe made plans. He considered letting half of his employees work from home. Today, he is often asked for his expert opinion. He shares his knowledge about banking software and financial technology.
Mandar Agashe's Music Career

While in college, Mandar Agashe met Hridaynath Mangeshkar. He was asked to compose music for a Marathi poem. This poem was called Khulya Khulya Re Pavasa. It was sung by Asha Bhosle for a movie.
In 1994, Mandar Agashe recorded an English rock music album. He was inspired by The Beatles. His first Marathi album, Achanak, came out in 1997. In 1998, he released his first Hindi album, Nazar Nazar. Sony BMG released this album in India.
In 2003, he released a new age-techno song called I Need Someone in Germany. In 2005, he released a double album called Two of Us. It had Hindi pop songs and English rock songs.
In 2016, he worked with Asha Bhosle again. He directed music for her album 82. This album featured ghazals by Suresh Bhat. The album was named after Bhosle's age at the time.
In 2021, Mandar Agashe directed music for a Marathi retro music album. It was called Theek Aahe, Chaan Aahe, Masta Aahe. This album featured poems and ghazals by Suresh Bhat. Rahul Deshpande sang on this album. Other singers like Aarya Ambekar also joined.
