Marcos Alberto Skavinski, known as Marcão, is a Brazilian football coach and former player. He was born on March 28, 1975, in Curitiba, Brazil. Marcão mainly played as a central defender. He also sometimes played as a left back.

Marcão's Playing Career
Marcão started his football journey in youth teams. From 1991 to 1992, he played for Coritiba's youth squad. He then moved up to play for professional clubs.
Early Club Teams
Marcão played for several teams early in his career. These included Coritiba and São Caetano. He also played for Atlético Mineiro in 1999.
Playing in Brazil and Japan
Marcão played for many clubs in Brazil. He was with Juventude and Atlético Paranaense. In 2006, he went to Japan to play for Kawasaki Frontale on loan. He played 28 games and scored 2 goals for them.
After returning to Brazil, he joined Internacional. Later, he played for Palmeiras and Goiás. Overall, he played over 200 professional games.
Marcão's Coaching Career
After his playing days, Marcão became a football coach. He started coaching youth teams.
Coaching Youth Teams
Marcão coached the Under-19 team for Atlético Paranaense. He did this from 2015 to 2016 and again from 2018 to 2019. This helped him gain experience in guiding young players.
Coaching Professional Teams
In 2020, Marcão coached Chapecoense. He then managed São Joseense from 2021 to 2022. In 2023, he took on the role of manager for Paraná.
