About MasterChef Pinoy Edition
This TV series is part of the big MasterChef family of shows. It follows a similar competition style to the original show from the United Kingdom. It aims to find the best amateur cook in the Philippines.
How the Competition Works
First, many amateur chefs from all over the country try out for the show. A few chosen people, usually three or four per episode, get to cook their special dish. They have 60 minutes to prepare it for the four judges.
Each judge tastes the dish and shares what they think about it. Then, all the judges talk together and choose who gets to move on. After this first round, the chosen cooks go through more cooking tests. The judges keep testing them until they pick the top finalists.
Every week, the finalists face new and exciting cooking challenges. They also have elimination tests. This means some cooks will leave the show until only one hopeful cook remains.
When to Watch the Show
Unlike some other "MasterChef" shows around the world, "MasterChef Pinoy Edition" is shown on weekday mornings. Each episode is about 45 minutes long and airs five times a week, from Monday to Friday.
On Saturdays, there's a special edition. This includes episodes that were shown before, but with new scenes you haven't seen. These special episodes often show how the cooks create amazing dishes. They also give out helpful cooking tips and fun facts about food.
Exciting Prizes for the Winner
The person who wins the "MasterChef Pinoy Edition" competition gets some awesome prizes. They receive a cash prize of one million pesos.
The winner also gets a special cooking scholarship from the Center of Asian Culinary Studies. This helps them learn even more about cooking. Plus, they win a kitchen showcase from Fujidenzo, which means they get lots of cool kitchen tools and appliances.
