Political Views and Priorities
Protecting the Environment
Frost supports a Green New Deal. This is a plan for the government to address climate change and economic inequality. He also believes that environmental justice is very important. This means making sure that all communities, especially those that are often overlooked, have a healthy environment.
Stance on Gun Control
Frost is a strong supporter of gun control. This means he wants laws that help prevent gun violence. In January 2023, he and Representative Jared Moskowitz asked House speaker Kevin McCarthy to hold a special meeting. They wanted the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to discuss ways to address mass shootings.
Healthcare Access and Costs
Frost supports single-payer healthcare. This is a system where the government pays for healthcare for everyone. He also wants to invest in preventing future pandemics. In 2024, he worked with Representative Doris Matsui to introduce the EPIPEN Act. This act aims to limit the cost of epinephrine autoinjectors (like EpiPens) to $60 for people with health insurance. These devices are used for severe allergic reactions.
Reforming Criminal Justice
Frost wants to improve the justice system.
Affordable Housing Initiatives
Frost is a strong supporter of affordable housing. He backed Kamala Harris's plan to build many new homes. He believes that making housing more affordable and accessible should be a top priority. In 2023, he helped introduce the End Junk Fees for Renters Act. This act aims to stop landlords from charging extra fees and to make rental agreements clearer.
Foreign Policy Views
Frost believes the 2015 Iran nuclear deal was important. He said it stopped Iran from building nuclear weapons. He supported bringing the deal back. However, he stressed it should be stronger to cover other issues, like Iran's missile program.
Frost supports a two-state solution for the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. He has said he is both pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian. He supported military aid to Israel without conditions. He has criticized the Palestinian Authority's fund that pays families of militants. He believes this encourages violence. Frost opposes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. He says it has leaders from terrorist groups.
After the Gaza war, Frost's views on Israel-Palestine have changed. While he first voted to support Israel after the October 7 Hamas-led attack on Israel, he later voted against more aid. He has said that Israel violated international law during the war. He also stated that the "bombing campaign in Gaza must stop."
Crypto Regulation
During his campaign, Frost created a "crypto-advisory council." This group gave him advice during his campaign. He received financial support from a disgraced entrepreneur.
Immigration Policies
Frost is against building a wall on the southern border of the U.S. In January 2024, during a hearing on immigration, he suggested removing the Statue of Liberty. This was in response to a Republican bill about border security. In March 2025, when a former student was detained by ICE, Frost said it should "scare everyone." In April 2025, Frost traveled to El Salvador with other members of Congress. They advocated for the release of people who had been deported without proper legal steps.
Personal Life and Interests
Frost speaks both English and Spanish. He is a jazz drummer and plays the timbales. His high school band, Seguro Que Sí, performed in the parade for President Obama's second inauguration in 2013. He also enjoys the trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Frost is a Baptist.
In December 2022, Frost said he was denied an apartment in Washington, D.C. This was because of his "really bad" credit history. He explained that his credit score was low because he took on debt while running for Congress.
