McCafé is a special part of McDonald's restaurants. It's like a coffee shop inside McDonald's, offering different kinds of coffee and other drinks. McCafé started in Melbourne, Australia, in 1993. It was created to offer customers more choices, especially fancy coffees like espresso.
When McCafé first started, it was very popular. Reports showed that McCafé locations made more money than regular McDonald's stores. By 2003, McCafé had become the biggest coffee shop brand in Australia and New Zealand. Because it was so successful, McDonald's decided to add McCafé sections to all its stores in Australia.
