Where is Meldale?
Meldale is about 61 kilometers (38 miles) north of Brisbane, which is the capital city of Queensland.
This area is surrounded by water! To the north, you'll find Bullock Creek. To the north-east, there's the Pumicestone Channel. This channel separates the mainland from Bribie Island. Elimbah Creek is located to the south and east of Meldale.
Meldale's History
Meldale was officially named on July 2, 1983. People believe its name comes from combining the last names of two local land owners: Mellish and Daly.
