Meredith is a small town in Delaware County, New York, United States. In 2020, about 1,484 people lived there. It is located in the northern part of the county. The town was named after Samuel Meredith.

History of Meredith
Meredith became a town in the year 1800. It was created from parts of two other towns, Franklin and Kortright.
A movie called Windfall was filmed in Meredith in 2010. This documentary was about a plan to build a wind farm in the town.
The MacDonald Farm is an important historical place in Meredith. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
Geography of Meredith
Meredith covers a total area of about 151 square kilometers (58.3 square miles). Most of this area is land, with only a small part being water.
The northern part of the town has streams that flow west. These streams join Ouleout Creek, which then flows into the Susquehanna River. The southern part of Meredith has streams that flow south. These streams lead to the West Branch Delaware River.

- Meridale – This is a small village, also known as a hamlet, located on Route 28.
- Meredith Square -- This is another small hamlet. It is located along what used to be the Catskill Turnpike.
- West Meredith – You can find the Amos Bristol Tavern and the West Meredith Cemetery here. Both of these places are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
