Kortright is a town located in Delaware County, New York, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,544 people lived there. The town is in the northern part of Delaware County.

History of Kortright
Kortright was first created as a town in 1793. It was formed from another town called Harpersfield.
A special building, the West Kortright Presbyterian Church, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. This list includes important places that are worth protecting because of their history or architecture.
Geography of Kortright
Kortright covers a total area of about 162.2 square kilometers (62.6 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 161.7 square kilometers (62.4 square miles). Only a small part, about 0.5 square kilometers (0.18 square miles), is water.
The West Branch Delaware River flows along the southern edge of the town. This river helps drain more than half of Kortright's land. In the northern part of the town, water flows into Kortright Creek and Charlotte Creek. These creeks then join the Susquehanna River near Oneonta.

About 30.5% of the households had children under 18 living with them. Most households (57.5%) were married couples living together. About 24.1% of all households had only one person living there.

Communities and Locations in Kortright
- Bloomville – This is a small community, or hamlet, located on NY 10. Two important buildings here, the Bloomville Methodist Episcopal Church and the McArthur-Martin Hexadecagon Barn, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Doonans Corners – This spot is where two county roads, CR 12 and CR 33, meet. There's a private home here that used to be a schoolhouse.
- Kortright Center – You can find this location on CR 33. An old church, the former Gilchrist Presbyterian Church (now a Pentecostal church), built in the early 1800s, is located here.
- Kortright Station – This is a general area that is covered by the Kortright Rural Fire District. It's located along CR 12.
