How They Started Their Journey
Mert Alaş was born in Turkey, and Marcus Piggott was born in Wales. They met in England in 1994. Before they teamed up, Mert worked in classical music, and Marcus was a graphic designer. Marcus also worked as an assistant photographer, and Mert was a model for fashion photos.
They soon decided to work together as a photography team. Their first photos were shown to Dazed and Confused, a London fashion magazine. The magazine loved their work so much that their photos were immediately put on the cover!
