This made them the best-selling female group of all time.

After the Spice Girls stopped performing together in 2001, Victoria Beckham released her first solo album. It was called Victoria Beckham and had two songs that reached the top 10 in the UK. Victoria has also become a global style icon and a successful fashion designer. She has appeared in five TV shows about her life. Victoria is married to the famous former football player David Beckham. They have four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.

Victoria Beckham started her own fashion brand in 2008. In 2011, her brand was named the best designer brand in the UK. Victoria's Early Life

Victoria Beckham was born in Harlow, England, and grew up in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire. She is the oldest of three children. Her parents, Jacqueline and Anthony, had an electronics business. This meant Victoria and her siblings, Louise and Christian, had a comfortable childhood. Her family was quite wealthy.

After watching the musical film Fame in 1980, Victoria decided she wanted to be a singer. She went to Jason Theatre School and later studied dance and modeling at Laine Theatre Arts. When she was at St. Mary's High School, she felt a bit shy about her family's wealth. She even asked her dad not to drop her off at school in their Rolls Royce car. Before joining the Spice Girls, she was part of a band called Persuasion.

In 1994, Victoria saw an advertisement looking for girls who could sing and dance. She joined an all-female group that became the Spice Girls. Their first song, "Wannabe" (1996), became number one in the UK, US, and 35 other countries! They had eight more number one songs from their albums Spice, Spiceworld, and Forever.

Each member of the group got a nickname from the media. Victoria was called "Posh Spice." The Spice Girls became the best-selling female group of all time, selling over 80 million records worldwide. After their third album, Forever, the group decided to take a break and focus on their own solo careers.

Solo Music Journey

On 14 August 2000, Victoria released her first solo song, "Out of Your Mind". She performed it for the first time at a concert in London for the Prince's Trust charity. She then signed a record deal with Virgin Records. Her next song, "Not Such An Innocent Girl", came out in September 2001.

Victoria's first solo album, also called Victoria Beckham, was released on 1 October 2001. It reached number 10 in the UK album charts. The album cost a lot to make, but it didn't sell as many copies as expected. Her last single from the album was "A Mind of Its Own" in February 2002. It reached number 6 in the UK.

Victoria later signed a new contract with Telstar Records. In 2003, she recorded new music with a more R&B and hip hop sound. Her song "Let Your Head Go" / "This Groove" was released in December 2003 and reached number three in the UK. However, due to problems with the record company, her new album was never released. In 2004, Victoria decided to stop making music and focus on fashion.

When she dyed her hair brown for the tour, her sons said, "Oh my goodness, it's Posh Spice. She's back." During the tour, Victoria was the only member who didn't sing a solo song. Instead, she posed like a model on a catwalk.

The Spice Girls also appeared in TV advertisements and worked on a musical called Viva Forever!. On 12 August 2012, all five Spice Girls performed at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony. They sang "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life." This performance was the most tweeted moment of the Olympics closing ceremony!

The band reunited again for a tour in 2019, but Victoria chose not to join. She wanted to focus on her fashion brand. When asked why, she said, "It just didn't feel like the right thing to do. [But] I'll always be Posh Spice, always."
