The Metropolitan Borough of Bury is a special area in Greater Manchester, England. It is one of ten similar areas called Metropolitan boroughs.
This borough was created in 1974. It brought together several towns and areas. These included the main town of Bury, along with Prestwich and Radcliffe. Parts of Tottington, Whitefield, and Ramsbottom also joined to form the new borough.
The Metropolitan Borough of Bury covers an area of about 99.48 square kilometres (38.3 square miles).
