Since 1999, Malkin has written a column that is published in many newspapers and websites. Some publications, like The Daily Wire, stopped publishing her column around 2019. This happened when her views became more extreme.

In 2004, she published In Defense of Internment: The Case for 'Racial Profiling' in World War II and the War on Terror. In this book, she defended the U.S. government's decision to hold 112,000 Japanese Americans in special camps during World War II. In 2020 and 2021, she spoke at the America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC). This event was organized by Nick Fuentes and is known for its extreme right-wing views.

Political Views

Until 2019, Michelle Malkin was generally seen as a conservative. After 2019, some news sources began to describe her views as more extreme or "far-right."

Daniel Holtzclaw Case

Malkin has often said she believes Daniel Holtzclaw is innocent. She argues that the evidence supports his side of the story. She also claims that investigators did not do all the necessary tests. In 2016, she released episodes of a show about the case. In 2017, she released a film about it called Railroaded: Surviving Wrongful Convictions.

Immigration Views

Malkin believes the United States should have much stricter immigration laws. At a conference in 2019, she said that current levels of immigration are like an "invasion." She also said they "endanger our general welfare."

Since 2002, Malkin has written a weekly column for VDARE, a website that is strongly against immigration. In 2002, she suggested that the border with Canada should be made more secure, comparing Canada to dangerous areas.

Views on Muslims

Malkin has suggested that Muslims should be held for national security reasons. She has also supported policies that judge people based on their background during times of conflict.

In 2019, she promoted her book Open Borders Inc. at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. This group has been described as having strong anti-Muslim views.

Support for Certain Groups

Some commentators have said that Malkin has started to support groups with very strong and sometimes harmful views. In August 2020, the Anti-Defamation League said she had publicly supported people with views that promote harmful ideas about race.

YAF stopped working with Malkin in 2019 after her speech at UCLA. In that speech, she praised Nick Fuentes and other controversial figures. In 2020, she was criticized for speaking at the America First Political Action Conference, which is hosted by Nick Fuentes and also featured a founder of a group with neo-Nazi ties. Malkin has also supported Gavin McInnes and has called herself the "mommy" of the Groypers, a group of young people who follow Nick Fuentes.

In 2020, Malkin appeared on a radio program known for promoting harmful ideas about race. She talked about changes in population and "multicultural rot." In November 2021, Malkin spoke at a conference hosted by a group that promotes harmful ideas about race. After this, she and her family were not allowed to use Airbnb.

Accusations of Antisemitism

Some people have accused Malkin of promoting harmful ideas about Jewish people. For example, she has promoted conspiracy theories about George Soros. In 2019, she agreed with someone who claimed Soros was "not a Holocaust survivor" but a "Holocaust facilitator." Malkin has denied these accusations. She says she is married to a grandson of Ukrainian Jews and supports Israel. At a conference in 2020, Malkin said it was "not anti-semitic" to question the number of people who died in World War II.
