Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, also known as MVMCP, is a special holiday event. It happens at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. This party takes place on certain nights in November and December. It's a fun way to celebrate the holiday season!

The party features lots of holiday entertainment. You can see a parade, dance with characters, and enjoy free treats. The event runs from 7:00 pm to midnight. However, party guests can enter the park starting at 4:00 pm. Remember, you need a special ticket for this party. It's separate from a regular park ticket.

In 2022, Disney announced the party would return. It had been canceled in 2020 due to a global health situation. The event ran from November 8 to December 22, 2022. It was part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration.

What Happens at the Party?

Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade

This festive parade happens twice each party night. It travels down Main Street, USA. You'll see many Disney friends like Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Other characters include Goofy, Chip 'n' Dale, and Winnie the Pooh. Look out for Marching Toy Soldiers and Dancing Reindeer too! Of course, Santa Claus also makes an appearance.

Holiday Fireworks and Castle Lights

A special holiday fireworks show lights up the sky. It's called "Holiday Wishes." This show mixes classic Christmas songs with the original "Wishes" music. Tinker Bell flies over Cinderella Castle to start the show. Jiminy Cricket narrates the story. The castle also gets a lighting display. It glows green like a Christmas tree!

In 2019, a new show replaced "Holiday Wishes." It's called "Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks."

Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration Stage Show

This fun stage show is performed four times during the night. You can watch it on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. It replaced an older show in 2016. Many Disney characters star in it. You'll see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Donald Duck. Goofy, Snow White, and Dopey also join the fun. Even Woody and Jessie appear in their Christmas outfits! Live performers sing and dance to classic Christmas carols.

A Frozen Holiday Wish

During November and December, Cinderella Castle looks magical. It's covered in 200,000 LED lights. This makes it look like it's frosted in ice and snow. This effect is called Castle Dream Lights. At dusk, there's a short show. Characters from Frozen appear. Elsa uses her ice powers to light up the castle. All park guests can watch this show every night. It's also repeated during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This show replaced an older one in 2014.

A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show

This twenty-minute show is performed several times a night. It takes place on the Tomorrowland stage. Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski are in the show. They teach Stitch about the meaning of Christmas. Then, Buzz Lightyear uses his laser to blast Santa out of the sky!

Character Dance Parties

There are usually two character dance parties each night. These parties let you dance with Disney characters! You might dance with Woody, Jessie, or Bullseye. In the past, these parties have been held at Diamond Horseshoe and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café.

Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

Minnie Mouse hosts this special fireworks show. It features famous Christmas carols. You'll hear songs like Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Jingle Cruise

The Jingle Cruise is a holiday version of the Jungle Cruise ride. It started in 2013. The ride queue gets a Christmas theme. The boats even have new holiday names! The skippers tell updated holiday jokes. While not exclusive to the party, it's a fun Christmas season treat.

Meet and Greet Disney Characters

Many Disney characters appear throughout the Magic Kingdom. You can meet them and take pictures. The characters wear special holiday outfits. Some rare characters, like the Seven Dwarfs, also make appearances.
