The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is a very important part of the Government of Pakistan. Think of it as the main office that looks after Pakistan's safety and how things are run inside the country.

This ministry makes sure that the country's rules are followed. It also helps keep everyone safe and manages many important national matters.

The ministry is led by the Interior Minister. There is also a Minister of State for Interior and the Interior Secretary. The Interior Minister is a top member of the government's main team, called the federal cabinet.

The minister must be a member of the parliament. From 1962 to 1971, during times when the military was in charge, the Interior Minister was called the Home Affairs Minister.

How the Ministry of Interior Works
