The Story of Missing Link
Sir Lionel's Quest for Fame
The year is 1886. Sir Lionel Frost is an investigator who studies mythical creatures. He wants to prove these creatures are real. His biggest goal is to join the "Society of Great Men." This group is led by his rival, Lord Piggot-Dunceby.
Lionel gets a letter saying a Bigfoot has been seen. He makes a deal with Lord Piggot-Dunceby. If he can prove the Bigfoot is real, he will be allowed into the society.
Meeting Mr. Link
Lionel travels to the Pacific Northwest. He soon finds the Bigfoot in a forest. The Bigfoot tells Lionel that he sent the letter himself! The Bigfoot asks Lionel for help. He wants to find his relatives, the Yetis, who live in the Himalayas.
Lionel agrees to help him. He names the Bigfoot "Mr. Link." But Lionel doesn't know that Lord Piggot-Dunceby has hired a bounty hunter. His name is Willard Stenk. Stenk's job is to stop Lionel and Mr. Link.
Finding the Map
Lionel's old friend, Adelina Fortnight, has a map to the Himalayas. The map is in a safe at her house in Santa Ana, California. Lionel and Mr. Link visit her mansion. Adelina is upset with Lionel for missing her husband's funeral. She refuses to help him.
Later that night, Lionel and Mr. Link sneak back into the house. They try to get the map. Mr. Link makes a lot of noise. The safe falls out of a window and breaks open. Lionel and Mr. Link grab the map and escape.
Adelina Joins the Adventure
The next day, Adelina finds them. She agrees to help them find the Yetis. But only if she can come along. Suddenly, Willard Stenk arrives. A shootout begins. The trio tricks Stenk into getting on a train by himself.
Journey by Sea
The three friends continue their journey by boat. Adelina encourages Lionel to be kinder to Mr. Link. Lionel and Mr. Link have a nice chat on the boat's deck. Mr. Link decides to call himself "Susan." This is after a friendly person he once met.
But Stenk ambushes them again on the ship. After a struggle, they manage to lock Stenk away. They escape once more.
Reaching the Yetis
The trio finally reaches the Himalayas. They are led to the Yeti temple. There, they meet the Yeti Queen. She shows them their hidden valley. But the Yetis do not like humans. They are also not happy that Susan has been with humans.
The Yetis throw the trio into a deep pit. Susan helps Adelina climb out. They knock down some Yeti guards and escape. They run across an ice bridge.
The Final Showdown
Lord Piggot-Dunceby and Stenk are waiting on the bridge. Lionel tells Piggot-Dunceby that Susan is more human than his society. Piggot-Dunceby gets angry and starts shooting at the ice bridge. He wants to kill them all.
Susan stops Piggot-Dunceby. But the bridge still cracks and breaks. Piggot-Dunceby and his helper fall to their death. The trio and Stenk are left hanging from the broken bridge. Stenk tries to taunt Lionel.
Lionel and Stenk fight while hanging. The trio works together to get rid of Stenk. He falls after an icicle breaks. Lionel makes Susan his new partner for investigations.
New Adventures Begin
