Montserrat Martí Caballé was born in Barcelona, Spain, on November 15, 1971. Her parents are the well-known opera singers Montserrat Caballé and Bernabé Martí.
She first performed as a singer in 1993. This special performance was with her mother in London. After that, Montserrat and her mother sang together many times. They performed on stage and also recorded music together.
Montserrat Martí's Opera Career
In 1998, Martí moved to Germany to start her career as an opera singer. That same year, she played the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s famous opera, Don Giovanni. This was at the Hamburg State Opera.
