Mount Fifi is a cool mountain located in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. It's part of the Sawback Range in the Canadian Rockies. This mountain got its name way back in 1886! It was named after a dog named Fifi, who belonged to Edith Orde. On the same trip, two other nearby mountains, Mount Louis and Mount Edith, also got their names.
Mount Fifi stands tall at 2,621 meters (about 8,600 feet) above sea level. It's a popular spot for adventurers and nature lovers who visit the beautiful national park.

The Story of Mount Fifi's Rocks
Mount Fifi is mostly made of a type of rock called limestone. Limestone is a sedimentary rock. This means it formed over millions of years from tiny bits of stuff settling at the bottom of ancient seas. Imagine a time when this area was covered by shallow oceans!
How Mountains Are Made
The rocks that make up Mount Fifi were laid down during a very long time, from the Precambrian period all the way to the Jurassic period. That's a huge span of Earth's history! Later, giant forces inside the Earth pushed these rocks up. This happened during an event called the Laramide orogeny. It's like the Earth's crust folded and broke, pushing older rocks on top of younger ones to create the mountains we see today.

Mount Fifi has a subarctic climate. This means it has very cold, snowy winters and mild summers. It's part of the Köppen climate classification system, which helps scientists describe different climates around the world.
Winter and Summer Conditions
In winter, temperatures can drop below -20 degrees Celsius (that's -4 degrees Fahrenheit!). With the wind, it can feel even colder, sometimes below -30 degrees Celsius (-22 degrees Fahrenheit). So, it's super chilly!
