Mountain of Mystery is a tall mountain in Zion National Park, Utah. It stands 6,565 feet (about 2,000 meters) high. This mountain is made of a special type of rock called Navajo Sandstone. It looks over a famous part of the park called The Narrows. The Narrows is a very deep and narrow section of Zion Canyon.
Mountain of Mystery rises more than 2,100 feet (640 meters) above the Virgin River. This river flows through Zion Canyon. The mountain is surrounded by other cool peaks like Mount Majestic, Angels Landing, and The Organ. Its name became official in 1934. The first people to climb it reached the top on September 15, 2001. Those climbers were Brian Cabe and Tom Jones.

The best times to visit Mountain of Mystery are in spring and fall. The weather is usually nice then. This area has a "cold semi-arid climate". This means it's a desert climate. It gets less than 10 inches (250 mm) of rain each year. Snowfall in winter is usually light.
