Murdinga is a small place in South Australia. It's located on the Eyre Peninsula, which is a large piece of land sticking out into the ocean. Murdinga is about 297 kilometers (that's about 185 miles) west of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. People say its name comes from an Aboriginal word meaning "cold."
Murdinga has a railway siding. This is a short track where trains can stop or switch lines. It also has big storage places for crops like grain. The railway is part of the Eyre Peninsula Railway. The area is also next to the Tod Highway, a main road south of Lock.
