Murdunna is a small town in Tasmania, Australia. It is located in the Tasman Council area, which is part of the South-east LGA Region. In 2016, a count of the population showed that 309 people lived in Murdunna.

This town is found at the very end of King George Sound, which is a narrow bay that opens into Norfolk Bay. Murdunna is about halfway along the Forestier Peninsula. You can reach it by driving on the Arthur Highway towards Port Arthur. The town is only about 6 metres (20 feet) above the sea.

Many people from Hobart like to visit Murdunna for weekend trips. Because of this, the number of people in town grows a lot during the summer. Many houses here are holiday homes, meaning their owners don't live there all year. The name Murdunna is thought to come from an old Aboriginal word. It means "place of the stars."
