Nesta Carter (born October 11, 1985) is a retired Jamaican sprinter. He was very fast, especially in the 100-meter race. Nesta was a key part of Jamaica's 4x100 meter relay team. With this team, he won gold medals and set new world records. This happened at the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 London Olympics.

He also earned a silver medal in the 4x100m relay at the 2007 World Championship. Later, he won another gold at the 2015 World Championships. In 2013, Nesta won a bronze medal in the individual 100m race. This was at the World Championships in Moscow, finishing behind Justin Gatlin and his teammate Usain Bolt. After that, he helped his team win another gold in the 4x100 meter relay.

In August 2010, Nesta became one of only a few sprinters to run the 100 meters in under 9.8 seconds. His best time in the 100m is 9.78 seconds. This makes him one of the fastest men ever. He is behind other famous sprinters like Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.

In 2017, Nesta Carter and his teammates lost their gold medals from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This was for the men's 4x100m relay. This decision came after a review of samples from the 2008 Games. Nesta Carter officially retired from running on August 31, 2021.
