Nicholas Eason (born on May 29, 1980) is an American football coach. He used to be a defensive end player. Today, he works at Clemson University as the defensive tackles coach and run game coordinator.
Before joining Clemson, he was an assistant coach for other teams. These included the Auburn Tigers, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns.
Eason played college football for Clemson. He was chosen by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL draft. He played for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). His teams included the Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Arizona Cardinals. He also played for the Scottish Claymores. Eason won Super Bowl XLIII with the Steelers.

Time with the Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos picked Eason in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL draft. He was the 114th player chosen overall. His first season ended early because of an Achilles injury.
In 2004, he played for the Scottish Claymores in NFL Europa. When he returned, he spent some time on the practice squad. He left the Broncos on September 24, 2004.
Time with the Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns signed Eason on November 11, 2004. He played in one game and made two tackles. The 2005 season was his first full year with the Browns.
He played in all 16 games that season. He made 19 tackles and a career-high two sacks. In 2006, Eason played in 13 games and recorded 23 tackles.
Time with the Pittsburgh Steelers
Eason joined the Pittsburgh Steelers on April 16, 2007. In his first year with the team, he played in all 16 games. He made 14 tackles. The Steelers signed Eason to a new two-year contract in 2008.
He was released on October 3, 2009, but then re-signed on October 5. Eason was moved to the main team roster. He started games when defensive end Brett Keisel was injured. In the last game of the 2009 regular season, he made 4 tackles. One of these was a key tackle against Ricky Williams.
Time with the Arizona Cardinals
Eason signed with the Arizona Cardinals on July 29, 2011. He played with them until the end of the 2012 season.

Coaching Career
Coaching the Cleveland Browns
In 2013, Eason started his coaching career. He became the assistant defensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns. He worked under head coach Rob Chudzinski.
Coaching the Tennessee Titans
In 2014, Eason was hired by the Tennessee Titans. He became their defensive line coach. He worked under head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
In 2016, he stayed with the Titans when Mike Mularkey became the new head coach.
Coaching the Cincinnati Bengals
On February 26, 2019, Eason joined the Cincinnati Bengals. He was their defensive line coach under head coach Zac Taylor.
He missed some games in 2020 due to health protocols.
Coaching Auburn University
On January 27, 2021, Eason became the defensive line coach for Auburn University. He worked under head coach Bryan Harsin. He took over from Tracy Rocker.
Coaching Clemson University
On January 7, 2022, Eason returned to his old college, Clemson University. He was hired as their defensive tackles coach and run game coordinator. He works under head coach Dabo Swinney. He replaced Todd Bates.
