Music Career
Starting on Super Idol
Nikos Ganos began his music journey in 2004. He took part in the first Greek TV show called Super Idol. This show was like the famous British talent show Pop Idol. Nikos did very well, making it to third place in the competition.
Hit Songs and Collaborations
After Super Idol, Nikos Ganos continued to make music. He released many songs that became very popular in Greece. He also worked with some of the biggest names in Greek music. These include famous singers like Giannis Parios, Kaiti Garbi, Giorgos Mazonakis, and Marinella.
In 2010, Nikos released a song called "Last Summer". This song was a huge success and became one of the most popular songs in Greece that year. He also performed a remix of his song "Break Me" called "Break Me in the Dark" with singer Katerina Stikoudi at the MAD Video Music Awards in 2012. In 2013, he released another new song titled "I'm in love".
Your Face Sounds Familiar
In April 2013, Nikos Ganos joined the first Greek season of Your Face Sounds Familiar. This TV show is where celebrities dress up and perform as famous singers. Nikos showed off his talent by impersonating many different artists. He performed as singers like George Michael, Justin Timberlake, John Lennon, Justin Bieber, and even the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, Sertab Erener. He was eliminated in week 12 of the show.
Eurovision Song Contest
Nikos Ganos has also been connected to the Eurovision Song Contest. In November 2018, there were reports that the Greek TV company, ERT, had asked him to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. This contest took place in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Nikos did not confirm if these talks happened, but he did say he was interested in the idea.
Later, Nikos Ganos submitted a song called "Yamas" to try and represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. This contest was held in Basel, Switzerland. However, the song "Yamas" was not chosen by ERT for the national final. The song was later released to the public on February 13, 2025.
Personal Life
Nikos Ganos was born and still lives in Athens, Greece. He has traveled and performed all over Greece. He has two tattoos. One tattoo is of an ancient Greek soldier's helmet on his back. The other tattoo says "family tree" in Hindi on his left arm.
