He is well-known for playing teenage David Helfgott in the movie Shine. He also played Locke in the TV show Game of Thrones and Darby Sabini in Peaky Blinders. Noah Taylor was born in London, England. His parents, Maggie and Paul Taylor, were both journalists from Australia. When Noah was five, his family moved back to Australia. He grew up in the Melbourne suburbs of Clifton Hill and St Kilda.
Noah started acting in plays at the St Martins Youth Arts Centre. A director named John Duigan noticed him there. This led to Noah getting a role in the 1987 movie The Year My Voice Broke.
